Christian
Science Nursing at Hill Top
Hill Top provides various levels of
Christian Science nursing and assistance including:
- 24-hour nursing care
- nursing assistance with
activities of daily living
- drop-in care for emergencies
such as bandaging
- visiting-nurse service
- home care
- rest and study
- care by the day
- mother/infant care during a
birth
Reliance
on Christian Science
Acceptance of nursing guests at
home and at the facility is determined by decision of
the Admissions Committee. Those seeking nursing
services must rely radically on spiritual means alone
for healing as taught in Christian Science. They also
must engage the services of a Christian Science
practitioner listed in the current issue of the
Christian Science Journal.
Christian Science nursing is
consistent with the theology of Christian Science,
and therefore does not include medical services,
medications, or medically-oriented techniques, such
as physical therapy. Medically trained personnel are
not available at Hill Top.

Mission. . .
Hill Top is dedicated to providing
and maintaining a healing refuge for temporary rest,
study and care for those in the greater Chicago area
who seek healing by reliance on the teaching of
Christian Science as set forth in Science
and Health with Key to the Scriptures,
by Mary Baker Eddy.
Under the auspices of this mission
and in accordance with the standards set forth by the
Commission for Accreditation of Christian Science
Nursing Facilities, Inc., Hill Top offers Christian
Science Nursing services in its facility, and if
practical in the home.
